PRELIMINARY PROGRAM

It’s not only an event, it’s a tradition

Beef Australia is not only an event, it’s a tradition. It’s where Australia’s beef industry meets, every three years, in the heart of the Beef Capital of Australia – Rockhampton, Queensland.

More than a world-class beef cattle event, it’s a legacy moment that brings together producers, innovators, students, exhibitors, and communities from across Australia and beyond to celebrate Australia’s beef industry. It’s where the nation’s best are recognised, fresh ideas take shape, and the industry comes together to connect, celebrate, and showcase every facet of Australian beef.

Beef2027 will see many of the crowd favourites return, with several new events added to the week-long calendar of events.

The Fifth Quarter

For the first time in its history, Beef Australia will showcase the growing market for premium products derived from the ‘fifth quarter ‘– those valuable components beyond traditional meat cuts that are creating exciting opportunities in health, nutrition, wellness and advanced manufacturing. The Fifth Quarter at Beef2027 will be a dedicated precinct showcasing the next frontier of value creation from red meat, where nutrition, health and innovation converge.

Social functions and dining

Beef2027 will introduce a refreshed social program, with new functions added to the week-long line-up. Attendees will also have more ways to enjoy world-class beef, including the launch of the Chef’s Table Restaurant, a fresh take on the Celebrity Chef program, and The Reserve Lounge, a relaxed dining experience.

Cattle competitions

At the heart of Beef2027 is Australia’s premier showcase of stud and commercial cattle. Visitors can watch the Nutrien Ag Solutions Stud Cattle Championship and the Nutrien Ag Solutions Commercial Cattle Championship, highlighting the exceptional standards, skill and capability of Australia’s beef industry.

Global connections

Beef Australia’s iconic International Program will once again welcome visitors from around the world, with the Handshakes Program returning to connect international guests with processors, producers, and suppliers working in Australia’s beef industry.

Learning and industry insight

Thought-provoking seminars and property tours will also return, offering attendees valuable opportunities to learn, connect and experience the industry firsthand.

The latest in ag-tech will be showcased through Pitch in the Paddock, the Tech & Innovation Hub, and Tech Talks, while the Meat & Livestock Australia School’s Program will welcome schools from across the country to take part in a range of Beef2027 events and programs.

Food, flavour and trade fair discovery

Savour premium Australian beef at the iconic M’Eat Street, returning after its successful Beef2024 launch. Visitors can also explore more than 500 trade fair exhibits across four precincts, offering a gateway to innovation, connection, genetics, machinery and lifestyle.

Family experiences

Bringing the kids? Beef2027 will offer plenty of family-friendly fun, including a dedicated Kids Zone with activities designed to entertain, inspire and help children learn about agriculture and sustainable food production.
