Stud Cattle Championship

Nutrien Ag Solutions Stud Cattle Championship

The Nutrien Ag Solutions Stud Cattle Championship stands as a crown jewel within the triennial Beef Australia lineup, earning recognition from the seed stock sector as the pinnacle of our nation’s stud cattle accolades.

Over the course of five days, the culmination of years – and in some cases, even decades – of unwavering dedication will take Centre Ring. Our panel of esteemed judges will consider and assess more than 1,500 entries from over 30 breeds, offering a comprehensive showcase of the best in the industry.

Expect nothing less than a closely fought contest, as proud owners compete to secure the prestigious Beef Australia broad ribbon. It’s a spirited pursuit of excellence that resonates with every participant, each vying for a spot in the spotlight and the recognition they truly deserve.

Stud cattle judging will take place on Tuesday 7th May and Wednesday 8th May.

A Parade Of Champions will take place on Thursday 9th May and will be showcased in alphabetical order of each of the 30 breeds represented.

The Interbreed Championship will immediately follow The Parade of Champions, when the Supreme Champion (Interbreed) Bull, Female and Exhibitors Group will be judged from the Grand Champions of each breed.

Junior Parading and Judging

Highly competitive junior competitions will also take to Centre Ring, providing a great opportunity for young cattle enthusiasts to test their skills against their peers.

The following stud cattle junior events will take place at Beef 2024:

  • Datamars Livestock Junior Paraders Competition – Monday 6th May at 8.30am.
  • Charbray Society Junior School Team Judging Competition – Monday 6th May at approximately 11.30am (30 minutes after Paraders).
  • Datamars Livestock Junior Led Steer Competition – Monday 6th May in the afternoon.
  • Datamars Livestock Young Judges Competition – Friday 10th May at 8.30am.

Please note that minimum age for competitors in the Junior Led Steer and Junior Paraders competitions are to be confirmed for the 2024 event. As Public Indemnity and risks are continuing to becoming harder to comply with, Beef Australia are undertaking extra measures to ensure everyone is safe and that no one is at risk of litigation.
