The Ken Coombe Tech Yards will showcase existing and emerging technology in a dedicated AgTech & Innovation Hub in development for Beef Australia 2021.
The late Ken Coombe, a Queensland beef industry identity, was the inaugural Chair of Beef Australia in 1988. Recognised as a pioneer of on-farm computer technology, Ken was an enthusiastic supporter of beef research, engaging with CSIRO, DPI and others, focusing on fertility, genetic selection, nutrition, and pasture improvement.
The Ken Coombe Tech Yards will offer a world-first display of Australian and international technologies that impact beef production from conception through to the end-consumer consumption.
Beef technology can:
- Increase profitably
- Increase productivity
- Increase sustainability
- Improve the health of our environment
If you are an innovator, manufacturer, researcher or have a story to tell about how you use technology in the beef industry, we’d love to hear from you.
