Bringing the family to Beef2024? We’ve created the ultimate family itinerary that will be sure to keep kids both young and old entertained all day long.

From daily live shows and activities in the dedicated Kids’ Zone to animal and horsemanship shows at the Demo Yards, Beef2024’s family program has something for everyone across the week.

Dave Graham & The Muttley Crew – K9 Superwall & Temptation Alley

Dave Graham and his Muttley Crew of cattle dogs will ensure your day is filled with plenty of excitement and entertainment as you enjoy their ‘K9 Superwall’ show and ‘Temptation Alley’ show. These standout crowd favourite performances will see each dog compete to jump up an even increasing vertical wall to decide a winner, with the dogs capable of attaining heights of up to 3 meters and also an individual timed challenge whereby the dog must make its way through a course covered in several ‘alleys’ of plush toys, treats, balls and so much more!

Location: Demo Yards, next to the Ken Coombe OAM Tech Yards and Innovation Hub

Darumbal Time

Come and say ‘Gudamilli’ to the incredible Darumbal team as they help children explore local Darumbal traditions, history and culture through stories, games and activities.

George the Farmer Meet & Greet

Join Australia’s favourite farmer, George the Farmer, and author Simone Kain for a meet and greet as well as a reading of ‘George the Farmer Beef Bonanza’.

Dorothy & Friends or Feathered Friends

If you’re visiting Beef2024 on Brighter Super People’s Day (Monday 6th May), the little ones won’t want to miss the Dorothy & Friends show live on the Ergon Network Stage, featuring Dorothy the Dinosaur and her Wiggly friends Wags, Henry, and Captain Feathersword. For those visiting later in the week or with older children, we’d recommend heading back to the Demo Yards to watch some talented and beautiful ‘Feathered Friends’ in action.

Explore the Trade Fair + Meet a Cow

With over 500 exhibitors and 2,000 head of cattle heading to Beef2024, you’ll want to set aside some time to explore the many hands-on displays at the Trade Fair and meet a cow (or two) in the Cattle Precinct. From robots and VR to shiny new tractors and other cool machinery, there’ll be plenty of sights to entertain Beef’s youngest patrons.

Guy McLean The Australian Horseman

Don’t forget to catch internationally renowned Australian Horseman and entertainer, Guy McLean, as he showcases what it means to be a proud Australian stockman.

Location: Demo Yards, located next to the Ken Coombe OAM Tech Yards and Innovation Hub.

While all the above activities are available right throughout the week, we’d highly recommend visiting on Brighter Super People’s Day, 6th May, as it’s not only a Queensland Public Holiday, but you can also snag discounted general admission tickets for just $15 per adult (kids 16 and under are free).
