Kildare clean sweeps Grand Champion titles in South Devon judging at Beef2024

Kildare Grazing Company had a successful day at the Nutrient Ag Solutions Stud Cattle Championships South Devon show ring at Beef2024, taking out both grand champion titles.

A long, angular bull with a great front end, Kildare Tango was “a very easy winner” for judge Grame Hopf.

Sired by Kildare Kan AKA and out of Kildare Lyn 5, the 21-month-old beat seven other quality South Devon exhibits to take the grand champion male honours.

“He could be up against any breed and still be competitive,” Mr Hopf said.

“He’s got a big eye muscle area, he’s not overdone with fat and coverage, he’s very structurally correct and the fertility characteristics are spot on.”

Kildare Dianna 114 with calf at foot was named grand champion female, admired by Mr Hopf for her femininity and productive capacity.
