234 days to go!

It’s been a whirlwind of a month in the Beef Australia office. Kicking off the release of the Beef2024 Preliminary Program and the beginning of our ticketing campaign. We also welcomed new staff, sponsors and celebrated some of our recent announcements.

We celebrated less than 250 days to go with the release of the Beef2024 Preliminary Program. With new additions to the crowd favourite social events, renowned chefs, 500+ exhibitors, quality cattle and plenty more, Beef2024 will be an event for everyone.

For those eager to attend ticketed events, early bird tickets are on sale 17th October and general public on sale 31st October. Daily and weekly gate entry passes are unlimited and can be purchased at any time after tickets are launched.

I’d like to thank guest speakers John McKillop and Oli Le Lievre for sharing their career journeys and offering valuable guidance and advice to the next gen audience.

I’d like to congratulate the Next Gen Committee for their dedication to Beef Australia and success of this fantastic initiative.

Nutrien Ag Solutions Stud Cattle Championship Schedule

We have released The Nutrien Ag Solutions Stud Cattle Championship Schedule.  This championship stands as a crown jewel within the triennial Beef Australia lineup, earning recognition from the seed stock sector as the pinnacle of our nation’s stud cattle accolades.

Blast from the past

This month we received a blast from the past from Ken McCaffrey, noted stud stock auctioneer, who came across some Beef memorabilia when he was cleaning out his offices. ‘I remember our Elders site was a tent, we had a TV set up playing some good old bull riding videos of Dave Watkins which attracted good crowds to the site. We had a whip cracking fellow out the front at times also. Harry M Miller came up to Rockhampton to launch Beef94. We had a big lunch at the Cambridge hotel for about 300 and Harry M was a popular guest’. The below photos show a Beef1994 flag and Harry M Miller at the Rockhampton Beef94 launch.  Thank you for sending your photos and memorabilia.

Welcome aboard!

As we continue to get closer to the 2024 event, the Beef Australia team continues to grow. I’d like to welcome aboard our Logistics Coordinator Kirsten Vella and our Trade Fair Coordinator Mike Wallace.

Until next time.

Cheers.

Simon
