Romagnola Champions announced at Beef2024

RBG Theodore has been named grand champion Romangnola male at the Nutrien Ag Solutions Stud Cattle Championship at Beef2024.

Judge Shane Bishop, from Garglen Brahmans, said he went for the younger bull saying he was “very commercially relevant”.

“He’s structurally correct, moderate frame, and plenty of weight for age for a young calf,” Mr Bishop said.

“He’s a powerful young sire and a good example of the Romangnola breed.”

It was a quinella for RBG, with RBG Sweetpea taking out grand champion female.

“She’s a good example of a beef cow for any breed,” Mr Bishop said.

“She’s very feminine, structurally correct, got great carcase qualities, a fleshy cow with an amazing udder and doing a really good job on her calf.”
