October CEO Round Up

Published 13 October 2022

Great news this month with our inaugural Beef Australia Study Tour to #CattleCon in New Orleans, USA, being given “guaranteed departure” status for next year.

And better news that there is still room on the trip if you decide you would like to go – just chase up the details on our website and get in touch with the team.

We have been really encouraged by the level of enquiry that has come in for the USA tour, demonstrating that there is an underlying demand for purpose built, industry-based travel in the beef industry.

To that end, I’m excited to announce details on three more trips to cattle events coming up next year – one to the Sommet d’Elevage in France (a major ag exhibition and the opportunity to visit the home base of breeds like Charolais, Simmental etc); a trip to South Africa (with a focus on Droughtmaster and other tropical breeds); and another to the little visited but still important from the beef perspective country of Paraguay.

The French trip will also give people the opportunity to take in some of the Rugby World Cup action as well! Jump on the website and register your interest so we can send you the info as soon as it is ready.

On the Beef2024 event front, plans are really starting to come together – the next step we will be taking is letting businesses know when we expect our major tenders and EOIs to be announced.

This will hopefully give operators in our region and further afield the opportunity to consider whether they would be interested in working with Beef2024.

If you’re a Rockhampton local and think you lack the scale to tender for an entire section of work, perhaps look at working with other local businesses to fulfil the requirements.

We certainly keen to use locals wherever we can.

Again, keep an eye on our website for details as they come to hand.

Talk soon.
Cheers,
Simon
