May CEO’S Round Up

Published 01 May 2024

We have now made it into final digits, with just three days to go until Beef2024 opens its gates. As such I’d like to share some general information which will help make your event experience seamless.

To ensure smooth entry into the event grounds, make sure to download the ShowTicks app. This is where all your tickets are stored and can be scanned through the app at the gates.

There are a few options available for parking. Rockhampton State High School will house paid parking spots which can be purchased ahead of time on the Beef Australia website. You can also take advantage of our free Park N Ride service, offering a convenient bus shuttle from designated locations on both the north and south sides of Rockhampton.

Gates will open at 8:30am for General Admission tickets, and at 7:00am for exhibitors, partners, and those attending breakfast functions. Copies of the Official Event Program and Site Maps will be available at all entry gates and Information Booths, so be sure to pick up your copies as you enter. For your convenience, digital copies of both the Program and Site Map is available on the website.

As a reminder, Beef2024 is a smoke-free and e-cigarette-free event. We appreciate your cooperation in keeping the event enjoyable for all attendees.

As I write my final CEO Message before Beef2024 kicks off, I want to thank, on behalf of the Beef Australia Board of Directors and wider Beef Australia team, all who have been involved in bringing this event to life.

Firstly, thank you to all Beef2024 competitors, exhibitors, and participants. Your role in the event is pivotal in ensuring this week-long exhibition is world-class and a true reflection of the highest standards in Australia’s beef industry. I also wish all our competitors’ good luck in the various competitions and championships taking place at Beef2024.

To our valued event partners, your generous support has been instrumental in bringing Beef2024 to the scale it is today, and we thank you for your unwavering commitment to the Australian beef industry.

To the local Rockhampton community, I’d like to thank you for your hospitality, support, and participation in the event. Without the Rockhampton Showgrounds precinct and wider Wandal community, this event would not be possible in the Beef Capital of Australia.

Since the inception of Beef Australia in 1988, the expertise and energy of many volunteers are vital in the planning and delivery of the Beef Australia expo. Thank you to our 2024 volunteers for helping us through event week, and to our committee members for guiding us on the planning of this event.

I look forward to welcoming one and all to Beef2024, which I’m sure will be an unforgettable experience showcasing the pinnacle of the Australian beef industry.
