January CEO Round UP

107 days to go!
With only 107 days to go, we’ve had all hands-on deck for a busy month in the Beef Australia office! All three of our Cattle Competitions are well underway, tickets are flying off the shelves and we’ve welcomed new staff, sponsors and celebrated some of our recent announcements.
We’ve received a remarkable response since the launch of our ticket sales, with many popular social events and Celebrity Chef sessions sold out and selling fast. We encourage you to get in quick to secure the final tickets remaining to experience fine dining sessions, keynote speakers, entertainment and all that Beef has to offer.
For those who were unable to secure tickets to popular events, we invite you to join our waitlists via the website and jump onto the program to book your seats at some fantastic alternatives.
Preparing Yourself for Succession webinar
Our Next Gen Committee have been busy organising a series of webinars curated to help expand your networks and knowledge in the lead up to Beef2024. They have launched their second webinar ‘Preparing Yourself for Succession’ that will provide listeners with an understanding of important professional business practices and concepts of financial awareness, preparing you to take the reins to reach succession in business and your career.
I’d like to welcome Ben Law, Jeremy Hutchings and Ruth Corrigan as guest speakers who will join attendees on the 7th of February 6:30pm-7:30pm (AEST).
I’d like to congratulate the Next Gen Committee for another fantastic initiative.
School’s Program & Beef Boot Competition
The Suncorp Bank School’s Program, supported by MLA Good Meat Australia Education, Beef Boot Competition has opened. This competition invites primary school students across Queensland to decorate the boot template in the theme of: ‘From paddock to my plate – why agriculture is important to me.’
We’ve had a record number or registrations for the Suncorp Bank School’s Program, supported by MLA Good Meat Australia Education after registrations opened on the 7th November. It’s not too late to register with registrations closing on 16th February.
The Carcase, Stud & Commercial Cattle Competitions are well underway. We’ve had a fantastic response with many entries flowing in across all three competitions. These competitions provide a valuable opportunity for producers to benchmark their stock against national and international standards.
With nomination closing dates quickly approaching, I encourage those considering to nominate to make note of the respective close dates below.
We’ll be sharing updates on ticketed events, competitions, and programs in the coming months so be sure to mark your calendars with these key dates to avoid missing out on important information and releases.
