Heritage Angus Champions announced at Beef2024

Senior champion Mason Farm Monte Majura has been named grand champion male and the female calf champion Mason Farm Cheeky Eyes as grand champion female in Nutrien Ag Solutions Stud Cattle Championship Heritage Angus judging at Beef2024.

Judge, Graham Brown from RSVP Droughtmasters, said he was very happy with the grand champion bull who edged out his stablemate, calf champion Mason Farm Skye High, for the major broad ribbon.

“Both bulls are extremely structurally correct, great testicles, everything’s pretty much right about both of them. The big guy’s got the runs on the board, that pelvic shape is just about perfect, plenty of hindquarter and a tremendous head, enough extension and strength of spine, he is a really outstanding sire.

“The young bull missed out, hard for him coming up against such a seasoned campaigner, but he’s got plenty of length and extension and we can see there’s a lot of potential in this young bull.”
