February CEO Round Up

Published 13 February 2024

The countdown is on to the closing date of the Nutrien Stud Cattle Championships at Beef 2024, so, if you are thinking of nominating cattle for Australia’s premier stud stock competition, you have until next Monday to get them in. The return of international visitors this event and the streaming of the competition on Beef TV to both national and international audiences will make this one of the most watched competitions in Beef history and a great opportunity to match your cattle against the cream of the Australian seedstock industry. We would love to see you here.

Our Next gen committee have held another fantastic webinar, this time on succession planning for the rural industry. Following on the success of the first webinar, on Breaking into the agricultural industry and career development, this webinar considered the topic from the point of view of the next generation rather than the people doing the handing on. Their next webinar is on sustainability and maximising productivity. For details check the Beef Australia website.

As many people are aware the response to tickets going on sales has been phenomenal with many events sold out. All is not lost though, with seats still available at some breakfasts and some of the dinners, as well as one or two of the Celebrity Chef restaurants. Details are available on the website.

Until next time,

Simon.
