CHARBRAY – 2024 Nutrien Ag Solutions Stud Cattle Championship Results

Media Alert

Wattlebray Charbrays has had a successful showing at the Nutrien Ag Solutions Stud Cattle Championship at Beef2024 taking home a swag of sashes including grand champion female and first place in the exhibitors group and sire progeny stakes.

Judge, David Bondfield of Palgrove Pastoral Co, said grand champion female Wattlebray Rayna 82/1, with calf at foot, edged out two younger heifers thanks to her “overall completeness”.

“She’s not quite showing at her best in terms of showring bloom and completion,” Mr Bondfield said.

“She’s probably putting a lot into that calf and not quite expressing the overall mass of the two younger heifers but in overall terms of completeness she’s going to be my grand champion today.

Senior champion male Greenfields Smithy took out grand champion bull.

“He’s a real champion and an outstanding individual,” Mr Bondfield said.
