The announcement was made last night at a distinguished function held at Parliament House, in the presence of the Queensland Parliament, media and Beef2024 Principal Partners.

Beef Australia CEO Simon Irwin said Camerata are renowned for their dynamic performances and innovative approach to classical music and will bring an exciting twist to Beef Australia’s entertainment program.

“This relationship marks a significant milestone for both Camerata and Beef Australia, highlighting the rich cultural tapestry of Queensland and celebrating excellence in the arts”, Mr Irwin said.

“Founded in 1987, Camerata have established itself as one of Australia’s leading chamber orchestras, captivating audiences with their distinctive sound and captivating performances.

“It was a pleasure to have Camerata perform at a Queensland Government launch function last night at Parliament House in Brisbane, marking 8 weeks to go before we open the gates at Beef2024.

“Camerata will be performing on the Ergon Network Stage on Tuesday 7th May following our official welcome function and be making pop-up appearances around the Rockhampton Region.

“Their appearance at Beef2024 will showcase the vibrancy of Queensland’s arts scene on a global stage, offering attendees a unique opportunity to experience the intersection of music and culture in Queensland, right in the heart of the Beef Capital”.

Queensland Minister for Agricultural Industry Development and Fisheries and Minister for Rural Communities Mark Furner said the appearances of Camerata would be a highlight of Beef2024.

“The involvement of Opera Queensland at Beef2021 was an incredible part of this iconic Queensland event and this year’s inclusion of the full Camerata will be an amazing experience,” Mr Furner said.

“We had a taste of their talent at last night’s launch function for Beef2024 and the audience was absolutely spellbound.

“This shows how wonderfully diverse and talented Queensland is and I can’t wait to see them perform in Rockhampton.”

Camerata’s Artistic Director and Leader Brendan Joyce said they are really excited about being part of the incredible Beef Australia event.

“We’ve been to Rockhampton before, but this is the first time we are bringing our entire 20-piece orchestra to this iconic Australian city and we are just thrilled to be doing so”, said Mr Joyce.

“Beef Australia is an international event of the highest calibre, and our Four Seasons Reimagined concert draws together an international array of composers, not least of all Vivaldi, but also Max Richter’s smash hit ‘Recomposed by Max Richter: Vivaldi – The Four Seasons’, Piazzolla’s tango-inspired ‘Four Seasons of Buenos Aires’ and the British composer, Roxanna Panufnik’s sensual ‘Four World Seasons’.

“This concert has become one of our most iconic works to date, thrilling audiences wherever it is played!”.
