With Beef2024 now just days away, residents of Rockhampton and surrounds are reminded of the discounted Twilight Pass that has been custom-made for locals to enjoy all the event has to offer in a family and budget-friendly way.

Beef Australia Chief Executive Officer, Simon Irwin, said it was important to the organisers of Beef2024 that they welcome as many local patrons as possible to enjoy this world-class event, that unfolds right here in Central Queensland.

“Beef2024 is now one of the world’s most recognised agricultural events and we are so proud it is staged right here in Rockhampton,” Mr Irwin said.

“The Twilight Pass has been developed to offer access to the exhibitions, food and entertainment on offer in a way that works with the needs of our local community.”

The Twilight Pass offers entry from 3pm until late, meaning locals can enjoy the hundreds of exhibits at Beef2024 and view the world-class cattle exhibition. From there, they can have dinner at one of the event’s extensive range of food vendors, including the all new M’Eat Street precinct.

“One of the things that is really important to us in 2024 is to emphasise our event is not just for cattle producers or people involved in beef production, but for everyone in our Central Queensland community,” Mr Irwin said.

“This event began right here in Rockhampton in 1988 as an initiative of Australia’s Bicentennial and has grown to now be one of the most significant expositions of its type in the world. I think that is something all Central Queenslanders can be proud of.

“A visit to Beef2024 is an opportunity to not only enjoy great food and entertainment but to celebrate the heritage of the event and connect with our food’s journey from paddock to plate.

“Central Queensland produces some of the world’s very best beef, so let’s celebrate this together.”

The all new M’Eat Street precinct at Beef2024 offers the ideal setting for families to enjoy Australian beef at its best, including a curated assortment of food trucks, bar and a free entertainment program, with picnic tables ready to welcome guests. There is also a dedicated BBQ area with meat smokers and BBQers from across the country.

Beef2024 will celebrate local musical talent with Australian Idol finalist and Rockhampton local, Denvah joining legendary country music performer, Troy Cassar-Daly on the Ergon Network Stage on the evening of Brighter Super People’s Day on May 6.

“Our message to our local community is this is Rockhampton’s event, so let’s celebrate what this great city and our local beef industry has to offer together – and showcase that to the world.”
