Beef Australia USA Study Tour given the green light

Media Release

Beef Australia’s USA Study Tour has been given the green light to take off in January 2023.

Beef Australia CEO Simon Irwin said the inaugural International Study Tour has been received extremely well, with minimum numbers now met meaning the tour has been given ‘guaranteed departure’ status.

“We have been really encouraged by the level of enquiry and support that has come through for this tour”, Mr Irwin said.

“With tour highlights including the Cattle Industry Convention & NCBA Trade Show (CattleCon) in New Orleans, visits to the iconic J D Hudgins Ranch, the Beef Centre at Texas A&M University and Southwest Stallion Station, there’s something for everyone from every corner of the beef industry.

“Interestingly, majority of the bookings have come from a younger demographic looking for opportunities to advance in their career and make the most of networking with their peers and international leaders.

“The tour’s guaranteed departure status should now give anyone still sitting on the fence a sense of security that the trip will be going ahead.

“The interest in the USA Study Tour has really highlighted the demand for purpose built, industry-based travel throughout the beef community.

“With that, I’m excited to announce three more study tours will be launched in the coming months that are set to take place throughout 2023, with destinations including France, South Africa, and Argentina.

“Each destination will see a unique cattle focused conference, farm tours and iconic tourist sights included in the itinerary, plus the French tour will line up with the 2023 Rugby World Cup.

“More information around the additional study tours will become available soon, but I encourage anyone who is interested to sign up to the new International Study Tours mailing list on the Beef Australia website so they are the first to find out dates.
