Beef Australia Seal of Approval Stamped on Rocks
Published 09 April 2021
Beef Australia is committed to supporting and showcasing local business and today CEO Ian Mill has presented the first “Seal of Approval” accreditation to The Rocks in Yeppoon.
Mr Mill said “The Beef Australia Seal of Approval recognises local businesses who partner with Beef Australia, promoting the use of Australian Beef, enhancing the event and visitor experience to Rockhampton – The Beef Capital of Australia.”
“We invite venues throughout the Rockhampton and Capricorn Coast regions to apply. To be successful, businesses must demonstrate beef brand integrity and utilise at least one ‘tasty’ cut such as rump. Businesses will receive the Beef Australia ‘Seal of Approval’ certificate and logo for use on their own menus. Our aim is to promote and support accredited businesses, promoting them on the Beef Australia website to the influx of visitors and our local community” said Mr Mill.
Beef Australia Executive Chef Shane Bailey said ‘The Rocks Bar and Restaurant at Yeppoon was the first venue to apply and meet the program criteria. With a rotating menu to reflect seasonal produce, they showcase beef brands Black Angus Oino Gustus, Black Onyx and use Ranger Valley Beef Cheeks on their bar menu, showcasing many ‘tasty cuts’ available.”
Partnering with Beef Australia, Chef Roel Van Camp is thrilled to be bringing The Rocks Restaurant to the Rockhampton Showgrounds this May. The exciting and innovative menu will be available for lunch and dinner from Monday to Friday. Mr Milll said “Today we launch bookings for this new high-end restaurant at Beef Australia. The Rocks Restaurant will hero local produce and it is a great dining addition to the huge variety of food trucks and the Celebrity Chef Restaurant”.
