With a national alumnus of over 20 leaders contributing to industry change and advancement, the Graeme Acton Beef +Connections Program, supported by Westpac provides a unique mentoring experience for each participant that supports the link between leadership theory and practice.
It is also designed to support participant knowledge development and skill application throughout the program, including pairing future leaders with mentors to complete a project designed to enhance Australia’s beef industry.

As one of Queensland’s leading beef industry figures, the late Graeme Acton was renowned for supporting young people entering the agriculture sector and generously gave his time and extensive knowledge to support their careers. Graeme also donated his time and expertise to Beef Australia as a board member and Chairman.
The program was an idea originally developed by the Beef2015 NextGen Committee, and the Beef Australia board named the program in Graeme’s honour to recognise the contributions he made to the agricultural industry and its younger generations.
