Julia Spicer

Julia Spicer OAM is a QLD business treasure. She is described as a courageous catalyst for positive change within regional communities. Julia’s leadership has been recognised by her appointment as QLD’s Chief Entrepreneur in 2022. Julia’s mission is to contribute to the vibrancy and viability of rural and regional Australia by helping businesses grow. Through strategic planning, coaching and online courses; Julia does just that.

Julia founded her business, Engage & Create Consulting in December 2012, from Goondiwindi, South West Queensland.  The focus of Engage & Create Consulting is to support the viability and vibrancy of businesses and community organisations across regional Australia.  With two decades of experience in agricultural extension, Landcare and catchment management – she now works with regional communities and industry across the country on a range of projects, with the focus on identifying needs in business and implementing creative solutions to address them.

She also founded The Goondiwindi Business Hub, (The Hub — Goondiwindi Business Hub (gdibushub.com)) a venture she entered with business partners in November 2013.  “The Hub” is home to 8 businesses who have long-term tenancy, as well as providing hot desking and short term accommodation for other businesses, at The Spot (The Spot — Goondiwindi Business Hub (gdibushub.com). In May 2021, Julia and her husband Tony opened The House4390, (The House — Goondiwindi Business Hub (gdibushub.com).  Goondiwindi’s newest and most exciting retail hub!  The House is home to 5 female-led homewares and service businesses, that were home-based prior to The House existing.    This has been a valuable addition to the Goondiwindi business community.

Julia has completed the AICD Company Directors Course and has several board leadership roles.  Currently she is a board member on the Queensland Government Innovation Advisory Council  Innovation Advisory Council (IAC) (chiefentrepreneur.qld.gov.au) ) and Global Entrepreneur Network Australia (Australia | Global Entrepreneurship Network (genglobal.org) and Motherland (Home – Motherland Australia).

Past board roles include Regional Development Australia for Darling Downs South West Queensland (www.rda.gov.au), the Queensland Government Small Business Advisory Council, YWCA Qld, and the Australian Land Management Group.

Jeff Reibel

Jeff has a proud and accomplished history across Australia’s sporting landscape and is now leading the North Queensland Toyota Cowboys in the role of Chief Executive Officer.

Over the course of 20 years in the Professional sporting sector, Jeff has formulated and led the execution of strategic and tactical plans that have optimised the revenue growth, economic viability, public and corporate profile and sponsor loyalty for major stakeholders.

Returning to the Cowboys in 2015, Jeff successfully led the club’s business development portfolio, moving into the role of Chief Commercial Officer, before being appointed to CEO with responsibilities spanning football and commercial operations across the Club in October 2018.

Since taking the helm, Jeff has led the successful migration of the club’s team, members and partners to Queensland Country Bank Stadium as well as spearheaded the planning, funding and building of the Cowboys Community, Training and High Performance facility – the Hutchinson Builders Centre – located adjacent to their new home ground.

He is proud of the club’s ongoing economic contribution to the North Queensland region, especially the work undertaken by the Cowboys Community Foundation and in particular their flagship program, NRL Cowboys House which delivers access to secondary education for indigenous boys and girls from remote communities.

Lisa Hewitt

Lisa Hewitt loves building high performance cultures for customers and the communities they live in.

Born and raised in a family cattle operation, Lisa now leads the QLD/NT business for Elders, after a number of years in leadership roles in banking & finance.

Lisa calls herself lucky about the number of experiences she has had in life.  Living and working on stations, internationally, and now in a regional centre has exposed Lisa to everything from large scale corporate acquisitions, high net worth individuals, government bodies and senate enquiries, to grass roots, day-to-day, genuine engagement with people and customers.

A proud advocate for regional Australia, Lisa’s authentic approach has helped her through all the humorous, enlightening, and challenging situations.

William Bulo

William is currently the General Manager of PT Juang Jaya Abdi Alam (PT JJAA), a position he has held since 2017.  William leads CPC’s Indonesian operations, a significant international market for CPC. He has full operational and commercial oversight of the business, managing two feedlots in Indonesia, located in Lampung (South Sumatera) and Medan (North Sumatera) which currently has 13 – 15 % market share and was established in 2000.

William has deep financial expertise and solid commercial acumen, having joined CPC as a financial analyst in 2007. During his time with CPC, he has been responsible for all aspects of managing the feedlots throughout the supply chain, from feasibility studies, setting up new facilities, overseeing operations, and delivering product to market.

William is a highly regarded leader in the Indonesian agriculture industry, and his significant contribution has been acknowledged through several awards, including being a finalist in the Indonesian Future Business Leader awards in 2018, and representing Indonesian farmers in the Global Farmer Roundtable in Iowa, USA in 2014. In his current role, he leads a team of 170 permanent staff and 350 seasonal contracting employees. In 2017 he was awarded The People Developer Award by CPC.
