Michael Finucan

After completing a Bachelor in Agricultural Science, Michael spent several years working with companies involved in the export of agricultural commodities including timber, dairy products and live cattle. Michael spent 13 years with Meat and Livestock Australia working across international programs and managing MLA’s international marketing portfolio across 7 offices around the world.  Michael currently works for JBS Australia’s, Northern Division as General Manager – Feedlots, Marketing and Industry Relations. JBS Australia’s Northern Division operates five strategically placed processing facilities and five feedlots, producing a wide range of grain-fed and pasture-fed beef brands that meet the demands of various market segments across the globe.

Kelly Newton

Kelly Newton is Co-owner in her family food manufacturing and marketing business, Keppel Brand and Cattlemen’s Beef.  Keppel Brand makes and sells value added meat products into the foodservice channel nationally.  After an early career in law, Kelly joined the family business with husband Mark Davie in 2013.  The last decade has seen them go after business transformation and market share, plus bringing more beef to foodservice and convenience through new business, CATTLEMEN’S. Kelly is also a mother to two young children here in CQ and supports women in business, sales, regional and family business.

Julie McDonald

Julie is the Chief Financial Officer of MDH Pty Ltd, one of Australia’s largest cattle grazing enterprises. MDH is family owned and operated, with a wide geographical spread of country in Queensland covering approximately 3.36 million hectares. Julie is a director of The Zanda McDonald Foundation, Marcus Oldham College, and the Australian Stockman’s Hall of Fame. Julie is the grass-fed producer representative on the MLA board selections committee and chair of the Agforce MarketAccess Coordination Group.
