Hosted by committee members Georgia Dale and Jordan Watson, and joined by special guests Ben Law, Jeremy Hutchings and Ruth Corrigan, this one hour webinar will provide attendees with an understanding on important professional business practices and concepts of financial awareness preparing you to take the reins to reach succession in business and your career.
Ben Law has a deep understanding of how agri-business owners think. Having grown up on a beef cattle property on the Liverpool Plains in Northwest NSW, Ben’s passion lies in helping farming families and the greater rural community grow, thrive & ultimately become intergenerationally prosperous.With a degree in Agricultural Economics and over 20 years of experience as a Financial Adviser, Ben’s full-time focus is on educating as many people as possible via his podcast, strategic coaching business Agricoach and delivering educational presentations for various rural community groups.
Driven by a lifelong passion for agriculture, Jeremy Hutchings brings his unique blend of experience as a leading company strategist and business coach to his role as Managing Director and Lead Business Coach at Farm Owners Academy. Jeremy has been fortunate enough to be mentored by some of the most respected business minds of our time and possesses robust business acumen and a comprehensive background in strategy, growth, team management, operational efficiency and financial performance. He is profoundly dedicated to guiding Farm Owners Academy towards its vision of empowering forward-thinking farming families to realise their full business and personal potential.
Ruth is a fifth generation farmer and owner/manager of Rennylea Pastoral Company in Southern NSW between Albury and Holbrook. She works with her parents Bryan and Lucinda, younger brother Anthony, and a team of eight staff. She joined the family business in 2014. Rennylea market over 600 seedstock bulls annually to the commercial industry via two property auctions and contracts. She has a degree in Livestock Science (Hons 1) from UNE, a Post Graduate certificate in Climate Change and Agriculture from the University of Melbourne and has completed the Rabobank Farm Managers Program. She is a producer member for the Southern Australian Livestock Research Council (SALRC) and on the Genetics Consultative Committee for Angus Australia. She and husband John have two young children, Lona (3) and Bertie (1).
