A Beef Australia Next Gen Webinar

Join the Beef Australia Next Gen Committee on September 13, to take part in the first of a new and exciting webinar series in the lead up to 2024.

Hosted by committee member Kate Pini, and joined by special guests John McKillop and Oli Le Lievre, this one hour webinar will provide attendees with a new perspective on how to maximise their networking experience at Beef2024, and provide tips on how to take control of their own career in the Beef Industry.

Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about Mr McKillop’s distinguished career that has spanned leadership positions in many of the largest and most successful companies and organisations in Australian agriculture.

Oli Le Lievre will also take a deep dive into how he made the decision to take a passion project and turn it into a livelihood.

The speakers

John McKillop
Independent Chair of the Red Meat Advisory Council and Black Box Co.

John McKillop has held numerous senior agribusiness roles over the past 25 years including CEO of Hancock Agriculture, Hassad Australia and Clyde Agriculture.

John is currently the Independent Chair of the Red Meat Advisory Council and Black Box Company. Previous non-executive roles include Chair of LAWD, and director of Dairy Farmers Milk Cooperative, Compass Agribusiness, Dairy Australia and Meat & Livestock Australia.

John holds a Diploma in Farm Management, Bachelor of Business, Graduate Certificate in Agribusiness, Master of Business Administration and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Oli Le Lievre
Founder and CEO of Humans of Agriculture

Oli Le Lievre is the Founder and CEO of Humans of Agriculture, a storytelling platform that is looking to shift the narrative and stigma around agriculture, and create a sense of community from farm to fork and beyond.

As a kid that grew up in Sydney, Oli had a love of farming from an early age and it was the obvious choice upon leaving school that he would become a jackaroo.

After completing an Agribusiness degree at Marcus Oldham, his professional experience has included a variety of roles and sectors across Agriculture in Australia and Canada. Including roles in Fresh Produce Export, Business Development Manager in an AgTech Start-up, Corporate Food & Agribusiness Advisory, and Brand and Marketing roles in a leading Agribusiness.

Oli believes that agriculture is key to shaping a world for our Children’s children that is happier, healthier and more prosperous and through storytelling is on the pursuit to connect the broader community to agriculture, empower people within the sector through their own story and provide opportunities to attract and retain the next generation in agriculture.
