Having grown up around his Grandparent’s mixed farming property, Lachlan has spent a lifetime around cattle. Now calling Julia Creek home, Lachlan is a Livestock Agent and also works alongside his family grazing business.
Lachlan is looking to improve his leadership skills in order to assist him in supporting his team on the ground as they transition through some upcoming changes, but also use his new skills to positively influence fellow pastoralists in the beef industry and encourage and support younger people entering the industry.
Lachlan’s program project will focus on developing supportive tools and resources to practice the skills of visually assessing and estimating cattle more accurately in the paddock and crushside fat scoring.
