Mentor; Jo Palmer
Jean has a diverse background, but now on his last year of a Bachelor of Ag Science with the University of Southern Queensland and working as an Operations Trainee with JB Swift at their Mungindi feedlot, Jean is has a keen interest in large scale beef production.
Jean was drawn to the Graeme Acton Beef Connections Program because he believes it will offer him the best ability to grow his knowledge and experience in key areas of the beef industry and develop his skills within management and sustainability.
Jean’s program project will focus on addressing antimicrobial stewardship, particularly looking at the benefits of personalised treatment of sick and injured cattle in a feedlot.
