Emily has had a lifelong connection to the beef cattle industry, having been raised on a cattle station in Southwest Queensland and having worked in many areas of the industry including commercial grazing and feedlot sectors and stud cattle production in areas of Queensland, the Northern Territory, and New South Wales.
Now as a breeding and genetics advisor with AACo, Emily aims to increase her knowledge of leadership foundations through the Graeme Acton Beef Connections Program to help her undertake a project that she’s passionate about delivering to the industry and its people.
Emily’s project will look at the value and benefits of Fixed Time AI in commercial herds to support production of progeny of superior genetic merit, whilst condensing joining / calving periods.
