Having been raised on a Brahman Stud within the South Burnett Region, Amy has been involved with the Beef industry her entire life. In 2018 herself and her business partner started their own business as a franchisee, and in 2020, took the plunge and started their own livestock and real estate agency Wicks and Co Agencies.
Through the Graeme Acton Beef Connections Program, Amy not only hopes to further develop her communication and leadership skills but also develop the skills necessary to continue to foster and develop her own staff and build a culture which attracts the best in the industry.
Amy’s nominated program project is to investigate an integrated agricultural and leasing platform, partnering aspiring farmers with retired, absentee farmers to support their entry into the industry via an innovative and dynamic network.
