UQ Rural Clinical School

Published 30 April 2024

The University of Queensland Rural Clinical School (UQ RCS) works to foster and sustain a skilled and dynamic medical workforce to meet the needs of rural, regional and remote Queensland. UQRCS is the largest rural clinical school in Australia hosted by a single university.
We provide students with rigorous clinical training built upon hands-on experiences in hospitals and community-based practices. We give our students the unique opportunity to live and work in some of Queensland’s amazing rural, regional and remote locations.
UQRCS is a proud partner of The Regional Medical Pathway (RMP), a community supported, end-to-end pathway for the education and training of future regional, rural and remote doctors and is designed to address workforce shortages in the Central Queensland and Wide Bay regions.
