Queensland Police Service, Rural & Stock Crime Squad

The Rural & Stock Crime Squad (R&SCS) is a specialist squad of investigators within the Queensland Police Service with squads located at Forest Hill, Toowoomba, Roma, Charleville, Kingaroy, Rockhampton, Longreach, Charters Towers, Cloncurry and Mareeba. The function of the R&SCS is to investigate and prevent rural and stock crime in Queensland and also having responsibility for investigations crossing regional, state and international boundaries. Community engagement and the development of effective crime prevention and community capacity building strategies is also a primary focus of the Squad. R&SCS work closely with Government and Non-Government agencies in their efforts to maintain industry security as well as community safety.
