Emma Black and Shannon Speight
Pitch In The paddock really helped us launch our brand into the industry. We were fortunate to have already closed a successful fundraising round but the media coverage, the follow up and the momentum behind pitch in the paddock spread awareness which can be difficult for any new company especially at Beef Week.
We have been fortunate to be named the most backable team by Tech23, Shannon Speight has been named in the Forbes 30 under 30 and we have been named as rising stars for ESG by Women of the Future. Emma Black has also been a finalist in QLD rural woman of the year.
We loved having the opportunity to pitch in front of a large audience, as founders we have pitched our business over and over again to customers and investors most of this in small groups or over zoom but the difference a live audience and the atmosphere at Beef Week made it such and exciting and enjoyable event.
We 100% recommend the Pitch In The Paddock program, whether you are a winner or not, never miss the opportunity to pitch your business, hear feedback and evolve. It is a fantastic platform to tell the Beef industry what you are working on and why it matters.
