Portable tools for in-field disease diagnosis in cattle
Presented by Queensland Government

DAF is developing portable tools to enable disease diagnosis in the field or crush side. This will build testing capacity in remote areas and on properties, reducing the distances samples must travel and improving turnaround times for diagnosis and treatment.

These tools will enable results to be recorded on farm and reported directly to clinics or laboratories for specialist/expert diagnosis and advice.

Operational considerations including equipment, power, transport, connectivity, workflow, and biocontainment can be tailored to provide a flexible solution depending on the disease scenario.

Ensuring carbon farming has an agricultural approach
