Rabobank Beef Industry Awards Dinner Presented by Queensland Country Life

The Rabobank Beef Industry Awards presented by Queensland Country Life acknowledges the efforts and achievements of innovators and leaders in the beef industry.

The dinner is attended by key players from all sectors of the industry who gather to celebrate the achievements of their peers.

Now a fixture on the Beef Australia calendar, the awards evening will be a key opening event, being held on Monday 6th May. It will be attended by members of all sectors of the beef industry, including production, procession, retailing, transport, marketing and research and development, who will gather to celebrate the achievements of their peers.

The awards dinner culminates in the presentation of the Queensland Country Life Red Meat Achiever of the Year.

Known for their razor-sharp wit and knack for bringing a humorous yet insightful take on Australian rural affairs, the Betoota Advocate duo will open the event with their signature banter. Their presence promises an engaging start to the morning, offering a unique perspective that combines entertainment with a deep understanding of the quirks and realities of rural life.

Graeme Acton Beef Connections Lunch, supported by Westpac

With a national alumnus of over 20 leaders contributing to industry change and advancement, the Graeme Acton Beef +Connections Program, supported by Westpac provides a unique mentoring experience for each participant that supports the link between leadership theory and practice.

It is also designed to support participant knowledge development and skill application throughout the program, including pairing future leaders with mentors to complete a project designed to enhance Australia’s beef industry.

Join the 2023 2024 Program cohort in a joyous lunch as they come together to celebrate the journey that they have been on in the 14-months leading up to Beef2024.

Hear about their experiences, learn about the innovative projects they have developed, and network with colleagues.

As one of Queensland’s leading beef industry figures, the late Graeme Acton was renowned for supporting young people entering the agriculture sector and generously gave his time and extensive knowledge to support their careers. Graeme also donated his time and expertise to Beef Australia as a board member and Chairman.

The program was an idea originally developed by the Beef2015 NextGen Committee, and the Beef Australia board named the program in Graeme’s honour to recognise the contributions he made to the agricultural industry and its younger generations.
