Visiting nearly 30 communities and travelling almost 7,000 kilometres, the tour took over regional Queensland with a celebration of Opera and Country music throughout May and June.
With a cast of young Australian singers including Irena Lysiuk, Marcus Corowa and Jonathan Hickey, Are You Lonesome Tonight features arias and songs by composers such as Puccini, Verdi, Slim Dusty and Dolly Parton, to name just a few. The World Premiere of this wonderful show was held on Tuesday May 4 at Beef 21.
Round up with CMC Rocked the Beef21 crowd on the Thursday night . DJ Grizzly Adams kept the crowd dancing and singing along to all their favourite bangers, in the Ergon Energy Pavilion.
It was “Drinking Season” on Wednesday Night at Beef Australia! So with “Beau in the Back” and “Give Me Tonight” Brad Cox and his Band put on a super show to a packed house and full dance floor in the Ergon Energy Pavilion.
Hosted by Mr Geoff Maynard, Beef Australia’s “The Great Debate” featured yet again a hilarious, exciting, and engaging exhibit on “Are Men More Romantic?”
Special guests panelists included Sam Kekovich, Tahir, Christine Hills, Freddo Keating, Anna Daniels and Simon Irwin, who kept the crowd laughing through the solving of the age old myth.

Renowned industry leader Neil McDonald showed off his skills with his working dogs in the Beef Australia Demo Yards all week long at Beef21. To say Neil’s dogs won a few fans is an understatement!
Internationally renowned Australian Horseman & Entertainer Guy McLean is a rare combination of ‘Young Horse Educator’ and ‘Finished Horse Master’. The crowd, young and old, watched on as Guy worked his magic in the BA Demo Yards!
Bluey & Bingo
Wackadoo! Bluey and her little sister Bingo were at Beef21. The massive Ian Weigh Toyota People’s Day crowd adored seeing everyone’s favourite Heelers in person for smiles, photos and plenty of flossing. Their live shows were a huge hit.
Opera Queensland's 'Sing Sing Sing'
Opera Queensland’s Sing Sing Sing is a feel good night of music making for singers of all abilities.Host Jason Barry-Smith and professional singers guided participants line by line through a popular piece of operatic repertoire on the Friday evening of Beef21 at the Red Lion Hotel.
MLA, HDT and the US armed forces have invested in the development of an unmanned vehicle, the Drover WOLF, to carry heavy loads across rugged terrain. A variant of this vehicle has been developed for the Australian livestock market with upgraded capabilities, including higher fuel efficiency, longer range and a drone landing platform. Daily demonstrations in the Demo Yards were a big hit with the crowd.
There was a huge variety of children’s entertainment available, with exciting science workshops, special appearances from Bluey and his little sister Bingo and George the Farmer too! Our younger Beef visitors enjoyed Badge Making, Puzzles, Colouring in, and driving mini tractors!
AgForce, SIPP and Beef Australia presented the 2021 Suncorp Bank Schools Program, where there were a massive 3,960 participants. The program educates primary and secondary students about the origins of their food and fibre to raise the profile of careers available in agriculture while showcasing the Australian cattle industry.
