From a strong field of applicants Denis Cox was successfully appointed CEO of Beef Australia.
Denis, 48, is currently CEO of the Rockhampton Jockey Club, a position he has held for 3 years.
Denis has overseen one of the most dynamic periods in the Rockhampton Jockey Club’s history with the building of a $6.5M new grass track, $2M Members’ Grandstand redevelopment and rebranded the Club significantly lifting the Club’s profile and race day attendance. Denis managed Callaghan Park racecourse’s recovery from the devastating 2011 flood where the Club did not race for three months but still managed to achieve a record profit.
Denis brings to Beef Australia a wealth of major event and management experience. Denis has work on many major sporting events including the Caulfield Cup and Cox Plate Carnivals. Denis has strong sponsorship, membership and leadership skills which are supported by a Bachelor of Business Accounting/Marketing Degree obtained from Monash University in Melbourne.
Denis lives in Rockhampton with his partner Olivia and son Matthew.
