Beef Australia 2012 will feature a packed program of social events, providing all parts of community with an opportunity to join in the festivities.

Celebration opportunities include the new Commonwealth Bank Big Beef BBQ on Monday May 7 from 12noon to 2pm. It will tantalise your tastebuds with an array of celebrity chefs on hand to create a range of beef dishes from around the world.Or kick up your heels at the end of the week at the community concert, another new initiative for 2012 where the local community and expo goers can come together to celebrate the week that was.
 
We make you a promise - be it around the bar, at our Gala Ball or at one of our fabulous functions we’ll guarantee you a ticket to a good time.

Beef Australia 2012 and its sponsors have prepared a packed program of breakfasts, lunches and dinners for the public to gain insights from some of the industry's leading minds, as well as some of Australia's highest achievers from different walks of life.

Description: Dust off your boots for a beefing good time and head along to this great luncheon get-together. You will be entertained by guest speakers, meet the new St Brendan's College Principal Nick Scully, and have the opportunity to bid for items at our memorabilia auction. The luncheon is open to all comers, but in particular a great opportunity for St Brendan’s Old Boys, partners and friends to catch up.

Ruralco CRT Australian Beef Cattle Championships Dinner

Description: Rotary International Breakfast hosted by Rockhampton Sunrise Rotary. The key note speaker will be Co-Chairman of the International Beef Cattle Genetics Conference at Beef 2012, Dr Arthur Rickards. Dr Rickards established the Agricultural Business Research Institute (ABRI) in 1970 and built it from a three-person team to a 180-person team on his retirement as Managing Director in July 2011.

Description: The Rural Press Club plays host to a diverse range of guest speakers bringing to the forefront some of the issues that impact on Rural Queensland. The keynote speaker is JBS Australia’s new chief executive officer Andre Nogueira.Mr Nogueira, 42, was the head of corporate banking for the Bank of Brazil in its New York and Sao Paulo offices before joining JBS-USA as chief financial officer. Mr Nogueria comes to Australia on the back of JBS SA reporting strong revenue growth in its US and Australian beef operations in 2011. For the purposes of financial reporting, the Australian operations are combined with the US beef division. US Beef, including Australia, provided revenue of $16.5 billion for the year, an increase of 25.6pc on the previous year.
