The Beef Australia Bar and Grill will be headed up by Mathias Andersson executive chef of Ecco Brisbane who now runs his own bespoke catering company Mathias Can Cook since 2014.

Beef Australia is the perfect showcase for Mathias’ culinary style as he anticipates delivering a menu that will let the taste and quality of the beef take centre stage. He is particularly interested in preparing new cuts of beef and showcasing different breeds. Mathias plans to use the Delmonico steak – Cut from the Chuck and made famous in New York and some flavourful cuts such as the bicep and the Bavette.

A brand new concept for 2018,  we will be providing a quick service ‘Grab & Go’ beef bar, as well as a more immersive, wood fired experience in our restaurant, the Beef Australia Smokehouse – presented by Black Bunny.

Premium Australian beef is prepared daily in a relaxed venue with roomy open spaces encouraging group dining. Emotive and primal, the menu is prepared over live fire, taking us away from today’s convenience driven society to a place with a slower pace. The Black Bunny team are excited to be a part of Beef 2018 and can’t wait to saddle up the wood fired smokers and grills, and get down to work with some of Australia’s finest producers.
