Beef producers from around Australia had a unique opportunity to benchmark their product on a national level by entering the ANZ National Beef Carcase Competition – with participating processors in every state this is truly a national event.

The appraisal system utilised in the competition was specifically designed to meet both export and domestic market requirements and utilised the latest technology available to the beef industry.

The National Beef Carcase Competition aims to give feedback to producers about compliance of beef carcases to market specifications, lean meat yield, and predicted eating quality of those carcases (MSA index).
