Accommodation is still available for people making last-minute plans to attend the national cattle industry exposition, Beef Australia 2012.
Beef Australia 2012 is the biggest and most comprehensive industry exposition of its type in Australia, with more than 75,000 people expected to pass through the gates of the Rockhampton Showgrounds during the week of the event.
To cope with the huge crowds expected in Rockhampton during the week of May 7-12, Beef Australia 2012 has organised additional accommodation in the form of Tent City.
“There are still plenty of beds available in the Beef Australia 2012 Tent City, which is ideally situated just 50 metres from the main exhibition and a great place to spend the week,” Beef Australia chief executive Roger Desailly said.
“Tent City provides guests with all of the modern camping comforts: single, double and triple tents which are carpeted, fully screened, with camp beds provided and fitted with an internal light, plus cooked breakfasts are available on site.”
Returning trade fair exhibitor David Parker, of Noosa Heads-based jewellery business Pearls for Girls, has booked to again stay in Tent City after enjoying his time there during Beef Australia 2009.
“The price of Tent City and the quality of the tents make it a very good deal, especially when it is located just across the road from the main entrance to the Rockhampton Showgrounds,” Mr Parker said.
“The tents themselves are very comfortable and equipped with everything you need and you have access to all of the facilities of the CQ Leagues Club as well.
“Compared to other shows we exhibit at, Beef Australia 2012’s Tent City also offers the added benefit of 24-hour security, which is fantastic because we are away at the trade fair the entire day.”
With hundreds of overseas delegates and thousands of interstate visitors expected, Beef Australia is major economic contributor to the Rockhampton and Central Queensland economies.
