The Ultimate Beef 2012 Package has raised $4250 for flood and cyclone assistance as part of the Rural Press Club „Pass the Hat Around? fundraising dinner.
The event, held at the Tattersall?s Club in Brisbane on April 14, raised more than $30,000 to help the rural recovery from this summer?s devastating floods and Tropical Cyclone Yasi.
The Ultimate Beef 2012 Package auction item attracted strong bidding competition, before being knocked down to Andrew Hall, Director of Corporate and Public Affairs at Woolworths.
This special package included two VIP Passes to key events and social functions during the May, 2012 Beef Expo in Rockhampton; an accommodation package at the Capricorn Resort Yeppoon; a dinner for two at a premium beef restaurant during Beef 2012; a Georges Workwear & Country Outfitters (Rockhampton) R.M.Williams clothing pack; and a Corporate Membership to Beef Australia for 2011/12.
“Thank you to the generous support of these partner organisations for the package and to Woolworths for successfully bidding on this special offer,” Beef Australia chief executive Roger Desailly said.
“This package will provide the opportunity for two people to treat themselves to a VIP experience at Beef 2012, and at the same time it has helped raise funds to go back into regional Queensland for post flood and cyclone community recovery efforts.”
